swim instructor thank you...

Large-Son and Medium-Son just finished a round of swimming lessons.  They both swim like little fish (didn't get it from me!).  They have always had exceptional instructors at the pool they swim at and this session was no exception.

I always try to get a water themed thank you card to their instructor(s) when they finish.  I left it a little late this time and had to put this card together quickly.  I am really happy with how it turned out, but if I had it to do over, I would probably do some sponging with some light grey or a light blue around the two pieces that I put together to make the fish bowl.

This is the first time I made my own gel card.  It was super fun to make and really quite easy.  I think I will be making some more sometime soon :)

The plastic over the gel didn't like the flash on my camera and caused some glare.  I took a second pic to show the cute little goldfish a little better.

Hope you enjoy...

IBSIC #23

I have quick post for today to play along with the challenge over at Inspired by Stamping.

The Inspired by Stamping Inspiration Challenge #23 has participants gleaning inspiration from this photo:

Participants must use sage green, pink and cream in their project(s).

I really love this photo.  It reminds me of my grandmother; she taught me how to knit :)  I still remember the click of her needles as she sped along.  It's been a long time since I had time to knit anything.  I have a couple of unfinished projects on the go and am now thinking it might be time to drag them out and dust them off; time to create some memories of my clicking needles in the minds of my boys.  It is so great to be able to create a whole  lot of love to wrap them in and keep them warm :)

The last kitting project I finished was a baby blanket for Large-Son.  I will share a picture of it sometime soon.  He still needs it to sleep and hasn't been without it since he was born.  You can definitely tell how well loved it is when you see it.  Makes each hour that it took to make it so worth it!

Now on to the challenge project!  Here is my card; I hope you enjoy...

Hello!  I am back with another post for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge.  I absolutely love Tui's sketches and this one is no exception.  So fun and so inspiring!  Take a look:

So many creative people have posted great projects for this FMS #48 and it is so fabulous to be able to play along :)

Here is my card; hope you enjoy...

The tea bag is actually folded up like a real tea bag and it is filled with blue and gold glitter.  I love how it turned out and it was so fun to make.  I didn't adhere the tea bag to the card so it actually comes out of the cup.
